Festival Village  

Combining the freedom of self-catering apartments with all the facilities of a top hotel, the Festival Village offers the best of both worlds. The large complex is child-friendly and close to the beach, making it a favourite with families. Plus it's just a short drive from shops, restaurants and bars.

When you're not out and about, the hotel itself has plenty to keep you busy. For starters, it's got a huge swimming pool, which winds its way around lounger and parasol-dotted terraces. There's a splash pool for the little ones, too, as well as a small playground and a games room. And in the evenings, the hotel puts on a great entertainment programme, featuring live music and cabaret shows.

The apartments, meanwhile, are kept simple and traditional. Neutral walls and wooden floors are contrasted with bright soft furnishings, and large windows keep things light and airy. All the apartments come with kitchenettes, too, complete with the self-catering essentials like ovens and fridges. Plus they've all got satellite TVs, air-conditioning and balconies. In terms of size, one bedroom apartments can sleep up to five people, while two bedroom ones are big enough for six.

Last but not least, the hotel has got its own restaurant for those times you don't feel like cooking yourself. And if you choose the All Inclusive option, drinks and snacks are on offer through the day and evening.
