The first thing you'll notice about Sao Joao is the beach. Five kilometres of golden sand. Rugged, sandstone cliffs. Sedate surf. It's gorgeous. Stroll around the central square, you'll come across street vendors selling souvenirs and landscape art. And if you're venturing further afield the old town and all the facilities of Albufeira are just a few kilometres down the road.
