For those who appreciate a little culture with their beach holiday, the Albouro Apartments boast 400-year old statues in their reception, courtesy of the owner, Voula, who belongs to one of the oldest families on the island.

Between Skala and Lourdas, Katelios is on the south east coast of the island. It has a small harbour, a beach with several restaurants looking out to sea. After dining in one of the many eateries, why not sample some of the nightlife, which in Katelios revolves around the tavernas, some which have live entertainment.

The people of Kefalonia are renowned for their welcoming nature and incredible hospitality. Katelios offers a traditional Greek holiday, where you can eat in the excellent fish tavernas and watch the fishermen going about their business in the working harbour. We stayed at the Albouro apts end of Sept beginning of October 2006. They were really great. The position was fabulous. On the top floor we had a sea view from the balcony and from our front door the view of the hills behind was equally as breathtaking.
